ARTS FOR A BETTER FUTURE
Ethnic arts for life, worship & witness
Learn to collaboratively explore the art forms that are used in your local culture, and the ways that these can be used for Kingdom purposes. The “Arts for a Better Future” workshop helps artists and leaders to gain insights and tools which can lead to new relationships, fresh vision and Scripture engagement that deeply impacts hearts and minds throughout your local community.
Living in the story of Scripture changes everything
Learn how to put the stories of Scripture at the center of conversation and ministry in memorable and life-changing ways. “OneStory” and “Weavers” offer unique kinds of training which equip God’s people to experience the power of vernacular Scripture in new ways, and to share this with others in the language and culture of their communities.
BIBLICAL KEY TERMS FOR LEADERS
Helping leaders to go deeper with God
Although Biblical key terms are often very challenging to translate into indigenous languages, they also hold the keys to revealing the awesome power of God’s Word. This training course helps pastors and other leaders to gain fresh insight into the meanings of these key elements of Scripture, which in turn leads to a whole new level of increased effectiveness in ministry.
CELEBRATION OF LIBERATION
Living in freedom from addictions
Celebration of Liberation utilizes an integrated package of materials, group events, and on-going support to develop Scripture-centered communities of recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. A year-long cycle of Bible story discussion and Scripture memorization is built around ten practices for healthy living in restored relationship with God and Man. Facilitator training provides orientation to launch CL groups, and on-going support helps facilitators to grow in effective implementation. A substance abuse prevention program designed for youth is also available.
CULTURE MEETS SCRIPTURE
Working together to find biblical answers
Newly re-designed for relevancy and reproducibility in the Americas, Culture Meets Scripture (CMS) workshops help participants to investigate difficult issues of conflict between the teachings of God’s Word and traditional practices of their culture. Workshop participants then work together to discover biblical ways to resolve these conflicts. The CMS approach is designed for in-culture multiplication so that a local church or community can continue to use it to develop practices that are fully biblical and indigenously sustainable. We also offer the “Cultural Awareness and Cross-cultural Communication” workshop.
EVERY CELL PHONE A BIBLE
New connections for faith & community
Mobile technology offers exciting new opportunities for discipleship and evangelism. The “Every Cell Phone a Bible” initiative is building relationships, vision & capacity for Scripture engagement through mobile technology workshops for pastors and other indigenous leaders. Discover how you can tap into resources such as messaging, social media and creating “apps” for a more effective ministry among peoples who have traditionally had little access to, or even interest in, God's Word.
HEALING THE WOUNDS OF TRAUMA
God’s healing for our greatest hurts
Terrorism, domestic violence and accidents are just a few of the many kinds of difficulties that often lead to heavy life-long burdens or self-destructive beliefs and practices. The disastrous impact of these can go on and on throughout all of life, destroying hope, self-worth, relationships and faith in God. “Healing the Wounds of Trauma” workshops enable people to experience the healing power of relating to God through Scripture, and of finding comfort in a community of faith that understands our deepest hurts from God’s perspective.

NEW LIFE LITERACY
Reading the way oral learners do it
Even illiterates are constantly reading meaning in events, relationships and in the natural world. Interactively learning how this process of natural reading works, and ways to work in concert with it, gives revolutionary new insights into the principles of New Life Literacy and how to apply them. This training enables pastors and other Christian leaders to gain understanding and skills which can result in a whole new level of Scripture engagement in their congregations as well as for many aspects of their ministry.
NEW LIFE MEDIA
Inspiration and learning that captivates
Our New Life Media services build relationships, vision & capacity for Scripture engagement through audiovisual Scripture and Scripture-based media. Some examples include: production of indigenous language audio New Testaments and videos such as “Jesus”; the creation and production of “Deditos” Bible story video series with materials for participant involvement; training for indigenous development of community Web sites; facilitating translation of the Action Bible; and facilitating God-At-Work audiovisual storytelling for the local community and for the larger Church.
Equipping the next generation of Kingdom leaders
Pastoral training institutions such as seminaries and Bible institutes have an awesome opportunity and responsibility to prepare the next generation of leaders in God’s Kingdom. Our Americas Area Seminary Services involves a unique partnership with each pastoral training training institution with whom we partner. We assist each partner to better equip their students for life-transforming Scripture engagement among ethnic people groups where there has traditionally been little Scripture impact. More...
