"Every Cellphone a Bible" Survey Report
Cellphone technology, the 7th wave of mass media, is quickly changing the landscape of communication worldwide. In 2015 we surveyed 21,000 youth living in Mexico, Guatemala and Peru, measuring their attitude toward and usage of cellphone technology. Our goal was to measure how youth between the ages of 12 and 24, living in rural areas, are adopting this technology as their own. Download the report to read an overview of our findings.
In the report there are links to documents that contain the aggregated results of the surveys. You can also download them here: Guatemala - Mexico - Peru. If you don't speak Spanish, you can download an English version of the questions here. Please bear in mind that the questions were adjusted in some cases to reflect a certain country's currency or way of expressing an idea, so the translation is not word-for-word.
Currently, we are working on getting this information into the hands of Christian leaders in Latin America. The report is available in Spanish here and they can be freely distributed to any and all that are interested.
A follow-up document has been compiled which gives some answers to those who, after reading the survey, are asking "Now what?" Click here to download it in English. The Spanish version is available here.
